I won’t say that I’m a unicorn… but there aren’t a whole lot of quilters out there with the experience and education that I bring to the quilting world!
Hi, I’m Christen. My background is in marketing and communication design. I spent years in the field before moving towards freelance design. I’ve always been an artist. I love to paint, draw and finding new ways to decorate my home.
A few years after I had my kids, I feel like I woke up one day and realized that I had completely lost that happy artsy side of myself. I loved my kids dearly but I missed that part of myself.
While I was roughly familiar with a sewing machine, I had never quilted before. I started out making a quilt for each of my kids (very simple ones!) because if they knew I was making it for them… my kids would let me work on it!
Since that day, I have made countless quilts that have become more difficult and adventurous with each passing year.Â
Life now is no less busy than when I had 2 toddlers running around my house all day!… But I have figured out how to be more productive in the sewing room.
All of that to say… I know how busy life can get, but I also understand how important creativity in your life is. I share all of my tips, tricks and fun tutorials with the online community of quilters.
