I had hoped to show you this fabric weeks ago because the second I saw it released, I ordered it online.
Shipping was slightly delayed and all in good timing, it’s finally here for me to show to you.
Look at how pretty that colorful fabric is?! Doesn’t it make your heart just sing a little bit?
Are you familiar with Ruby Star Society?
If you are not familiar with Ruby Star Society fabrics… let me introduce you to some super cute modern fabrics and quite possibly your next obsession!
They’re relatively new on the fabric scene putting out their first fabrics in summer of 2019… but their designs have been on FIRE from the get-go. Seriously… just look at these sleepover-pajama-party-pillow-fight-happy-sing-at-the-top-of-your-lungs fabrics!
Ok, just one more… look at how pretty these low volume fabrics are!
I mean, you know my heart is absolutely going to jive well with someone who loves stars as much as I do, right? RIGHT?!
Their website describes their company as “a fabric company of creators and dreamers; a sisterhood of empowered women who have stood together, grown strong, and learned, trial-by-fire, that if you tune out all the noise, listen to your inner voice and get out of your own way, you can create fearlessly.”
Every time I read that I want to shout an “AMEN!”
… if that doesn’t make you want to stand up in your chair and get excited then I don’t know what will, sista!
The fabrics I’m using in my current quilt
This is the line that I used in my current quilt project and adorable fabric obsession…
I know that the line is “Clementine”, which is technically in the orange family and I’m titling this quilt “just peachy”… but it has been a rough week and this just kind of compliments the chaos and we’re just going to roll with it, mmmk?
I’m guessing you have projects like this as well… where it might now make sense to anyone but you, and you’re completely ok with that… life is just peachy, even if you’re the only one who understands it.
I ordered my fabrics from FatQuarterShop.com I absolutely love their selection and their super good deals on fabric!
Try them out and see what you think… their daily 24-hour flash sales are absolutely wonderful deals!
So for this particular line of fabric, “Clementine”… I loved all of the fabrics. Every single one of them.
If you have a hard time making a decision… check out the selection of pre-cuts that a fabric line has to offer.
I decided to buy a few packs of charm packs (pre-cut 5″ squares) with the entire line. Not only am I going to be sure that all of my fabrics coordinate perfectly – something that is kind of hard to do while shopping online – but I don’t have to make any decisions haha… I can just have them all!
Aren’t these fabrics just to die for? I love how happy they make me feel just looking at them!
Adding colors to quilts is what sprinkles is to cupcakes…
Yes, I just made that up right now, but I will never ever take that one back! ??
For the background low volume fabric, I used some of the fabric I pulled from my own stash (the white geometric star-patterned fabrics)
Do you ever buy fabric without having a specific project for it in mind?
This week has been particularly stressful for me and the other night I escaped into my quilting room to either cause some trouble or create something magical. It was anyone’s guess, but thankfully… after some playing around, I was able to create something that I am really really in love with!
It’s obviously still a work in progress, but I can’t wait to see what it looks like all sewn together and quilted with a lovely star pattern!
